Shakespearean Fool (2009)

In 2009 the Watchers made a five song EP. If there was a hit single, the band planned to make a full- length album, but the EP didn’t receive enough acclaim. “Carpe Diem” did see some airplay, but it quickly dropped from the rotation on most stations. The song sounds like something one would hear at a Jewish polka or see on the stage at Riverdance. “Dark Side of Love” and “I Don’t Know” are two melancholy ballads about unrequited love, and they feature Terri Mowrey, a well known singer/actress in Southern California. “The Jester,” the best song musically, showcases the drumming ability of Jose Sanchez and Enoch Watcher on guitar. Overall, the songs are fine-tuned by lead guitarist Dave Rhine and bassist Robert Trujillo. Their talent crosses the T’s and dots all the I’s on the Watcher’s tunes.
